Description

The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) defined social emotional learning (SEL) more than two decades ago. Today, CASEL supports states, districts, and schools and convenes leading thinkers to ensure SEL is a priority in schools nationwide. CASEL’s mission is to help make evidence-based SEL an integral part of preK-12 education. Their work is critical at a time when educators, parents, students, and employers increasingly recognize the value of SEL.

Objectives

In this course, you will...

  • Build and improve upon your relationship skills with colleagues, students, and community members.

  • Identify your own skills and strengths as they apply to SEL competencies.

  • Use interpersonal and communication skills in various educational settings and understand their importance in building, restoring and preserving relationships.
