This course will help students prepare for the Core Academic Skills for Educators: Mathematics test (5733).  The test is designed to measure academic skills in mathematics needed to prepare successfully for a career in education.   The 90-minute test is computer based and includes 56 questions that are both multiple choice and open ended where participants type their numeric responses.     This course explains the composition of the Math test in addition to guiding participants through topics in each content category.  Participants will be provided instruction on key topics and given access to various instructional resources to guide their development as they work towards passing the math section of the Core Praxis test.   Participants should plan to take the Praxis test shortly following their completion of the course.
