This course will introduce the C.A.R.E. themes through an equity and civil rights lens.  It will also demonstrate how these themes address equity and mitigate the achievement gap.  This course is a part of the C.A.R.E. Series. The C.A.R.E. themes (Culture, Ability, Resilience, Effort) are instrumental in helping to close the Achievement Gaps and are supported in part by decisions made at the school and district level. These decisions are essential to sustaining the changes and improvements that the C.A.R.E. themes foster. Read more

This course is designed for instructional coaches who will be supporting and coaching teachers remotely. Emphasis is on leveraging technology to create systems in order to support educators in their practice. While the aim of the course is to support educators remotely, all of the practices here can also be used in an in-person environment to encourage collaboration, create content, and offer “wrap-around” support.
